Sheriff's OfficeThere were 53 bookings at the San Joaquin County Jail in the 24 hours ending at 8 a.m. Saturday. At that time there were 1,128 people held at the jail, which has an official capacity of 1,411.
Stockton PolicePerson shot: A 24-year-old man reported that he suffered a bullet graze wound to his back about 5:15 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Commerce and Cleveland streets. He said someone in a blue Nissan Quest fired at him after the vehicle had followed him through traffic.
Strong-arm robbery: A 62-year-old woman reported that a man grabbed her purse and fled as she was walking at 7:12 p.m. Friday near Walnut and Concord streets. She said the man fled in an older, white sedan.
Assault on an officer: Albin woods, 43, was arrested on suspicion of assaulting an officer after he reportedly pushed an officer and resisted arrest when officers were called to a home in the 2400 block of Titleist Court about 9:39 p.m. Friday. Officers had initially gone to the home to investigate a reported domestic violence incident but later determined there had not been any domestic violence.
