She was born on May 3, 1942 in Muleshoe, Texas to Laverne and Melvin Hallford. Her passion and career lie in education. In her early years as a teacher she taught at both Presentation Catholic School and Hamilton Jr. High School in Stockton.
Later she transferred to Lodi Unified School District where she taught Learning Handicapped students at Morada Middle School
and Tokay High School until medically retiring in 2001. Her passion for teaching carried on with the tutoring of her beloved grandchildren. She will forever be remembered for her love of sports, and being her children and grandchildren's devoted cheerleader. She enjoyed a good book, bingo, and volunteering her time in various charitable organizations.
Beverly is survived by her devoted husband of 47 years Delbert Hodge, grandfather Murray Hodge of Stockton, her son David Hodge of Lodi, grandchildren Spencer and Alexandra, daughters Jennifer McCutcheon (Frank) of Linden, grandchildren Victoria and Caylen, Melissa Gallaway (Hunter) of Concord, CA and grandchildren Vivian and Olivia; her siblings Twyla
