Roy R. Stoermer, loving husband, father and grandfather passed peacefully into the arms of his
Lord and Savior, the morning of Saturday, January 7th surrounded by family. Roy was born in Springfield, OR to Roy F. Stoermer and Marietta Miller Stoermer, who predeceased him along with brothers Bill, Alfred, Arthur (Bud), Earl and sister Edith. He endured the passing of one grandson and one great grandson.
Roy was raised in Albany, CA, graduating from Albany High School and attended Alexander Hamilton College. He proudly served his country as a member of the 5th Army from 1942 to 1945 in Africa and Italy.
He is survived by his wife of over 63 years, the love of his life, Elinore F. Stoermer, his brother Ed (Maryann) of Fremont; his 4 sons: David (Lynn) of Woodland; Jeff (Jan) of Manteca; Bill (Wendy) and Tom (Isabella) both of Stockton; 6 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews whom he also treasured.
