Giving the gift of area artwork
Finding a special holiday gift doesn't have to bring out the Grinch in even the most cheerful of shoppers.
Hand-made, one-of-a-kind artworks, created by dozens of area artists, are on sale at several art galleries.
The Tidewater artists' collaborative has set up shop at Lincoln Center North, at Pacific Avenue and Benjamin Holt Drive, for the fourth consecutive year. About 15 artists have contributed to the exhibit at 260 Lincoln Center, next to FINA.
Blown glass, hand-thrown pottery, hand-made jewelry, prints, hand-painted black and white photographs as well as digital photographs, water colors, acrylics and mixed media pieces are available.
The store is open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays through Dec. 23.
Similar types of artwork created by members of the Stockton Art League are on sale at the Elsie Goodwin Gallery, 1902 Pacific Ave. in Stockton.
