STOCKTON, CA - A Stockton family has appealed to police and the public to help them find their grandfather who disappeared sometime after 7 a.m. Sunday.
Enrique Gomez, 78, was last seen leaving his home on the 300 block of Olympic Circle to walk to the Los Titos Super Mercado on Main Street, Stockton police said. Gomez has dementia.
The missing man is described as Hispanic, 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. He has brown eyes, gray hair, a skin tag on the left side of his neck and partial missing teeth.
Gomez was last seen wearing a blue canvas jacket with a white horizontal stripe, blue jeans, and white tennis shoes.
"He hasn't eaten as far as we know. He didn't have much money on him," said Gomez's niece, Vida Aceves, who worries about Gomez surviving in the cold night temperatures.
His family asked people to check their yards and inside cars, sheds, or barns.
