Jay Ned Morgan

Jay Ned Morgan, of Lodi, passed away on November 27, 2011, at the age of 84. Mr. Morgan was born March 17, 1927, in Lemoore, CA to Harford and Chloe Marie Morgan. When he was young, he helped build houses with his father who was a contractor. He also served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II. He has lived in this area for the last sixty years. Mr. Morgan enjoyed traveling, woodworking, oil painting, and watching sports. He worked for the State of California, retiring as Fire Chief after 37 years.

Mr. Morgan is survived by his

wife, Linda Morgan; son, Michael Morgan; son, Kelly Morgan; daughter, Jan Morgan; seven grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Ken

(Gloria) Morgan; and sister, Ola (Warren) Smith. He was preceded in death by his son, Lloyd Morgan and sister, Caril Almanza.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1510 W. Century Blvd., Lodi, CA 95242. There will be no visitation, and committal will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to AseraCare Hospice, 2529 W. March Lane, Stockton, CA 95207.
