Woman kidnapped, sexually assaulted
He armed himself with a machete and forced her to perform sex acts. He intercepted her twice as she tried to escape.
On her third attempt, she made it out the back door.
The 24-year-old woman went to authorities and led them to the South Sarasota home of Raul Castro, 47.
The Sarasota Sheriff's SWAT team and detectives swarmed Castro's home today at 3 a.m. and arrested him on charges of kidnapping and sexual battery.
According to a Sheriff's report:
The woman said Castro let her use his cell phone and then offered her a ride home from the Wal-Mart on Cattleman Road about 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
He told her he needed to stop by his home in the 3600 block of Egerton Circle to feed his dog first; he went inside the home and returned with a rusty machete.
Castro dragged the woman by her arm inside the home, where he forced her to strip and perform oral sex and repeatedly put her hands down his pants. He would not let her leave or make any calls.
