Larry Michael Castillo
Larry Michael Castillo, 60, of Stockton passed away at home on December 14, 2011. He was born December 18, 1950 in Brawley and had resided here most of his life. Larry was a graduate of Franklin High School. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Bronze Star for heroism. Larry served as a correctional officer for over 20 years and was Officer of the Year in 2000. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, was a big kid at heart and always had a smile on his face. His many passions included; tennis, swimming, playing the drums, crabbing at Bodega Bay, Nascar, hockey, road trips to the casino, riding his go-cart which his son built him and most currently; candle making.
He is survived by his wife Carlene of Stockton, children, Kimberly Matthews and Michael Castillo of Stockton, mother, Mary Castillo of Stockton, step-children, Cully
Taylor (Grace) of Pacifica, Will Taylor of Oakdale, sister, Florence Jurado (Frank) of Stockton, brothers, Robert Castillo (Tracy) of Lodi, John Castillo of Stockton, Gary Castillo (Marilyn) of West Covina, grandchildren, Kelsea Matthews, Teresa, Michael and Michelle Castillo and Wyley, Kaya and Rita Taylor. He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Castillo.
